Parker Duofold Pen
The Duofold helped establish Parker as a leader in the manufacture of fountain pens, and is their flagship range. Born in the age of jazz and Art Deco, the Parker Duofold pen reflects the opulence and iconography of its origins. It is a pen of exceptional character and distinctive appearance. Launched in 1921, the original Duofold was nicknamed the Big Red because it was made from bright red rubber and measured 5.5 inches capped. Available in rollerball and fountain pen with an 18-carat gold nib highlighted with platinum.
Parker Sonnet Pen
The Parker Sonnet pen is a timeless classic that combines bold styling with elegance and sophistication. Available in fountain pen (with a stainless steel nib for durability), rollerball and ballpen in stainless steel and black lacquer (with silver or gold trim).

History of the Parker Pen Company
The Parker pen company was established by George Safford Parker in Wisconson USA in 1888. Frustrated by the lack of pens that didn’t leak, Parker set out to make a better pen. He believed that if he ‘made a better pen, people would buy it, and so he did. Parker began his career teaching telegraphy, and supplemented his income by selling pens for the John Holland Pens Company. Overwhelmed by pen repairs, he decided to invent his own fountain pen.
Parker Pen Inventions
Parker Pens is credited with one of the most significant fountain pen inventions, the ‘Lucy Curve Feed System’. It prevented the fountain pen from leaking whilst in a pocket by draining the ink back into the reservoir by capillary action. Doscovered in 1894, it established Parker as a serious pen manufacturer and was used in various forms until 1928. From the 1920s to the 1960s, before the development of the ballpoint pen, Parker was either number one or number two in worldwide writing instrument sales. In 1931 Parker created quick drying ink (Quink) which dispensed with the need for blotting. This lead to the creation of the most widely used fountain pen ever, the Parker 51
