Tateossian Cufflinks

RT Collection

The title of this collection is named after the initials of its designer, Robert Tateossian. All RT cufflinks are from Rhodium plated metal combined with a variety of materials such as Fibre Optic Glass, simulated quartz stone, leather, enamel and some cufflinks made with crystallised Swarovski Elements.

All RT cufflinks are rhodium plated. Rhodium is a precious metal deriving from the platinum family. Rhodium plating allows the cufflink to have a hard, corrosion-resistant silver like coating. Its finish is highly polished and non tarnishing

Tateossian Materials

Fibre Optic Glass – is one of the RT collection’s signature materials. This material is produced from a fusion of millions of transparent fibres, effective for transmitting light. These are then injected with a variety of colours and hand cut and polished into the desired shape. Many of the RT cufflinks are inlaid with fibre optic glass. This is a very precise and labour intensive technique where the material is embedded flush into the metal to create an even finished surface. On other occasions a combination of fibre optic glass colours are inlaid together to create interesting patterns before being flush inlaid into the cufflink.

Crystal Cufflinks- all crystal RT products are made from crystallised Swarovski elements

The cufflinks in this collection are mainly finished with torpedo back fitting, however recently Tateossian has introduced a new whale fitting. This component has been specifically designed and created by Tateossian for the RT cufflinks collection. All products are branded with the RT logo on the rear.

All RT cufflinks are packaged in the RT brown and grey box.  To clean the cufflinks please do so with a soft polishing cloth. Take care when cleaning products  with rhodium plating (do not use sterling silver cleaning dip).

Tateossian Sterling Silver Collection

Silver is a malleable material, which can often be found along with copper, lead and gold in rocks. The most outstanding feature of silver  is its lustre, which when untarnished can give off a brilliant white colour. In ancient times silver was valued more highly than gold.

All silver Tateossian cufflinks  are finished with sterling silver whale tail fittings, and presented with the wooden brown box as shown. To clean silver  cufflinks please do so  with a silver polishing cloth.

Tateossian Mechanical Cufflinks

One of the features of the Tateossian collection is the Mechanical Collection. Items within this group include fully functional miniature powered watches, compasses and thermometers. In keeping with this light hearted theme are tiny roulette wheel designs, illusion clocks and mazes. The cufflinks incorporate stainless steel, rhodium plated, gold plated and anodised metal. All mechanical pieces have a one year warranty.
