- Trunks and Boxer Briefs - The boxer brief is long in the leg like boxer shorts, but fits snugly like a brief. Unlike briefs, the boxer brief does not have tight elastic around the legs. Instead they rely on the elasticity of the fabric to provide enough support. The trunk is shorter in the leg than a boxer brief, and is the most popular choice.
